What We Do
Saving Shasta Cats seeks to prevent animal suffering through humane education, impressing the importance of the spay and neuter of pets and feral cats and proper pet care.
Since 2015, Saving Shasta Cats, Inc. (SSC) has been serving low income and disabled residents of Siskiyou County, by providing their pets and community (feral) cats with healthy food as well as emergency and routine veterinary care. Saving Shasta Cats operates a food bank with healthy cat and dog food. A tireless volunteer delivers food to the pet cats and dogs of families in need in Dunsmuir, Mount Shasta and Weed. SSC rescues abandoned cats, provides excellent foster care and places them in loving, forever homes. SSC also funds the altering (spay and neuter) of community (feral) cats.
